Russian war posters

The following are several Russian war posters.

“Join the red forces to get a better life.” A poster by Vladimir Mayakovsky (1893-1930) from the year 1921. During the Russian/Soviet civil war the red army was persuading people to join them by promising them better conditions of life.

“Let Stalin's military commanders lead you onward to the liberation of our Fatherland of German intruders.”

“Worker women and country women. Fight the rudiments of the past. Build a new socialist existense. “

“Ty zapisalsya dobrovol'tsem? Did you join as volunteers?” A poster from the year 1920 by Dmitry Moor. Purpose of the poster was to persuade people to do volunteer service in the Soviet armed forces.

"Kapitalisty vsekh stran, soedinyaites'" says this poster from the year 1920 showing the main enemies of the Soviet people.

“You have to work but keep your rifle at hand!” A poster by Vladimir Lebedev (1891-1967) Poster ROSTA window 1921. That was the Soviet reality until Perestoika. Soviet people had to be ready to fight all the time against the capitalistic forces trying to disturb peaceful work of the Soviet citizens.
